Novel constraints on neutrino physics beyond the standard model from the CONUS experiment

چکیده

A bstract The measurements of coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CE ν NS) experiments have opened up the possibility to constrain neutrino physics beyond standard model elementary particle physics. Furthermore, by considering neutrino-electron in keV-energy region, it is possible set additional limits on new processes. Here, we present constraints that are derived from Conus germanium data (BSM) processes like tensor and vector non-standard interactions (NSIs) neutrino-quark sector, as well light scalar mediators. Thanks realized low background levels C onus experiment at ionization energies below 1 keV, able world’s best NSIs CE NS scale corresponding lie above 360 GeV. For NSIs, strongly depend assumed quenching factor within detector material, since small factors largely suppress potential signals for both, expected process NSIs. competitive mediators obtained channel reactor-site which allow probe coupling constants 5 ∙ 10 − mediator masses, assuming currently favored regime. consideration scatterings allows even stronger masses ∼ MeV mediators, respectively.

Neutrino masses and particle physics beyond the standard model

The evidence for non-vanishing neutrino masses from solar and atmospheric neutrinos provides the first solid hint towards physics beyond the standard model. A full reconstruction of the neutrino spectrum may well provide a key to the theoretical structures underlying the standard model such as supersymmetry, grand unification or extra space dimensions. In this article we discuss the impact of a...

Beyond Standard Model Higgs Boson Physics at the CMS Experiment

Searches for Beyond Standard Model (BSM) Higgs bosons at the CMS experiment are presented. The analyses are based on proton-proton collision data recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC at CERN at 7 TeV and 8 TeV centre-of-mass energies in the years 2011 and 2012 respectively, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of up to 25 fb−1. No evidence for additional Higgs bosons other than the 12...

Signatures from Physics beyond the Standard Model

A brief review is made of some of the experimental signatures that may be associated to a certain class of extensions of the standard model. The material of these lectures is divided into two sections. After briefly sketching the present observational status of the neutrino masses I consider various schemes of neutrino mass generation, including those which are motivated by present experimental...

Physics Beyond the Standard Model

The Standard Model is in good shape, apart possibly from gμ−2 and some niggling doubts about the electroweak data. Something like a Higgs boson is required to provide particle masses, but theorists are actively considering alternatives. The problems of flavour, unification and quantum gravity will require physics beyond the Standard Model, and astrophysics and cosmology also provide reasons to ...
